I knew Stephen from when he used to be a fixture outside of a bodega on Nostrand Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. I don't recall how we began talking, but eventually we found we had some sort of common bond. Sometimes on a hot night I would wander down to the corner just to talk with him. I've met very few people who radiated wisdom and contentedness with life like Stephen. Whatever insanity was happening in the world, whether it was right around the corner or in Washington D.C., Stephen would speak of it as if it was of no real consequence, because he placed his faith in Jah. I was sorry for me, but happy for him, when he moved back to Trinidad; then I heard he was living somewhere in Georgia, I think. I spoke to him a few times on the phone. And now, I met someone outside my building who told me he has left us, and I am stunned. I realize this is very late, but I want to express my condolences to his family, and to let his children know: he spoke very, very highly of you! He was extremely proud of what you've done with your lives. I only wish I'd gotten to see him again. God bless you all, Tom

May the God of all comfort, comfort you in your time of grief. Please accept my sincere regards at this time. Life was never designed to be this painful, it was never part of God's plan for mankind. No loving father will want to see his children in pain and anguish.
Rest assured that Jehovah God will bring an end to death forever. This promise is found in the Bible at Revelation 21 : 3 ,4 "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
So Jehovah God is aware of our suffering and he will remove these problems very soon. We can put our trust in these promises because "God cannot lie".( Titus 1:2)

As the sun sets, so quickly a loved one vanishes from our life, my deepest condolences to your family. Reliving the cherished memories of Stephen affects everything we do. It adds sorrow and bitterness to our life. To help us gain the balance we need to regain a measure of happiness and peace, our God Jehovah has provided the help through his written word the Bible. Please I invite your family to read the follow article via the link and see how Jehovah’s word helps.
