“When anxieties overwhelmed me, You comforted and soothed me.” These words comforted me when I suffered grief. They are found in the Bible at Psalm 94:19. Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed by mixed emotions? God can provide comfort. He promises to bring the dead back to life. Consider the words at Isaiah 26:19 “Your dead will live…..” Does this sound like a dream? Consider this. An Insurance company offers life insurance. This is a large sum of money the family can get in the event of death. Well our loving God Jehovah offers true life insurance, not money, the person’s life is restored. Life is a beautiful gift, one that is full of the memories we make with those we love. Death is a tragedy that leaves us feeling alone and helpless, where those beautiful memories are a bittersweet experience. Jehovah our Father sees our difficulties and expresses how he feels within his inspired word. Please accept my sympathy on the passing of your loved one 'Wesley'. Death brings pain and grief that you can never get accustom to, it leaves that feeling of void that your loved one is no longer around. Death was not a part of God's original plan for mankind and so he gives us comfort now and a hope for the future.
Ezekiel 18:32 "'I do not take any pleasure in the death of anyone' declares the Sovereign Lord Jehovah. 'So turn back and live.'" Acts 24:15 "There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."
Psalm 37:29 "The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it."
You can take comfort in these words, knowing that God did not take your beloved 'Wesley' in death to a better place as many say and there is the hope of seeing him again on earth under better conditions.(Revelation 21:4)
