Simon Bhudlal Ramlochan has left you dejected and empty of spirit. Condolences to you all. How would you feel if you see him again? Not as he looked when departed, but young as the picture showing him as an Officer and Gentleman. Only our Creator can do so. He loves us so much. Losing Simon was not an easy experience, to see someone you love pass away so please accept my warmest condolences for your family's loss. Charlie (Sutrohan) Simon's younger brother - died at Pt. Fortin hospital - while on leave from the RAF. He was severely burnt during an explosion while helping out at the oil fields . Simon was his mother's support during this difficult time.

It is an honour to have Simon Budal Ramlochan as my uncle. I am ever so grateful to visit with him a month ago when I was in Trinidad.
I echo much of what my sister, Luna, has said in her message of condolence. I know that my mother, Mamin, my aunt Tara and uncle Harry along with my brother Titus share our sadness on his passing. We know that he is in a better place.
Our entire extended family send condolences to all the Ramlochan's and the Dougdeen's.

Honouring my uncle.
My uncle was a ‘rock’ for his family, over the years and through many hard times – from the early passing of his sister (Jasso), his father, grandparents, 4 brothers, mother and wife. He took it all in stride, doing whatever he needed to do to stay strong for his family.
He chose his own career path and eventually became a police superintendent on his own merit and when he left the force, it was on his own terms. While he was not a man of many words he was incredibly insightful, thoughtful and loved to chat once there was a topic of interest. He deeply loved his family and was so proud of his children and grandchildren’s accomplishments and supported them as best as he could.
Uncle Budlal loved being in the country - picking cocoa, coffee and bananas from his land and spending time with his dogs. While he was not in the best of health during his later years - he was not demanding of others and tried to maintain his independence for as long as he could.
I am blessed for having known him – a man of principle and integrity. I will treasure the brief time we spent together - sharing stories from the past as I tried to learn more about my family’s history and to put the pieces together.
I love you and will miss you – but know that you are in a better place with your Daley, brothers, mother and grandparents.
