2 Corinthians 1:3,4 "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we maybe able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God". May these words bring you some comfort during the time of grief. Death was never part of God's original purpose for humankind. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God", so because of sin we die, but God will soon remove the effects of sin and we will see the fulfillment of the promise at Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". So just imagine the time when death will be no more.
