To the family of Selwyn Small,
I would like to express my condolences to you at this time and to share some comforting scriptures from the Bible. In the Bible, death is described as an enemy. 1 Corinthians 15:26 says " And the last enemy ,death is to be brought to nothing." It is comforting to know that in the near future, Jehovah will remove death so that it will no longer plague humans. Revelation 21:4 says "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Jehovah will also resurrect or bring back to life those who have died. Acts 24:15 says "....there is going to be a resurrection..." Here we see that we have the hope of seeing our loved ones who have died, alive again. Jesus performed resurrections when he was on earth (John 11: 43,44). He was able to accomplish this with power from Jehovah's holy spirit. Jehovah is eager to resurrect the dead again in the near future.
I hope these scriptures have brought you some comfort in seeing Selwyn again.
You can find more information on jw.org.
Sincerely,
S. Rampersad

Condolences to Ms. Barabra Small and the rest of the bereaved. Losing a loved one in death is the most painful thing a person can endure. It is natural to feel sad, confused or even down-hearted especially if that loved one was the glue that held the family together and was around for many many years. Genesis 23:1 &2 mentions that Abraham "came in to bewail Sarah and to weep over her". However, Abraham was assured that the death of Sarah would not be the end of it all. Abraham believed in the resurrection hope! Abraham was sure of this because he walked with the true God and was his special friend (James 2:23). As a close friend of the Almighty God, Abraham was able to see first hand the excellent track record of God's promises as He kept them. Like Abraham, I too encourage you to put faith in our Heavenly Father and his promise of the resurrection so that you too can see first hand the hour when "all those in the memorial tombs would hear his voice and come out" (John 5: 28 & 29).
Please visit www.jw.org to find our how you can build and maintain a close bond with the true God, build faith like Abraham to endure this most heart breaking loss and also rejoice in seeing this bible prophesy fulfilled

“With that Jacob ripped his garments apart and put sackcloth around his waist and mourned his son for many days. And all his sons and all his daughters kept trying to comfort him, but he kept refusing to take comfort, saying: “I will go down into the Grave mourning my son!” These words found at Genesis 37:34, 35 describe how many feel when they lose a loved one in death. Please accept my sympathy. It is okay to grieve. Grief can change to joy when we are reunited with our loved ones in what the Bible calls the resurrection (John 5:28, 29) Imagine a father has the power to raise people from the dead. He has children that he loves dearly. One day an earthquake kills his children. What will he do? Surly he will raise them from the dead. How much more so will the Almighty God Jehovah raise up the dead in harmony with his justice and love! Would you like to know more? I want to express my sympathy on the death of your loved one Mr Cyril Small. Death is described in the Bible as an enemy and it really is because it separate us from our loved ones. The Bible however promises that our dead loved ones will live again. Here at Acts 24:15 it says " There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. " Jehovah God the source of life can and will bring back to life our dead loved ones. It is a promise that we can trust because he is the God of truth and cannot tell a lie as Titus 1:2 assures us.
Be assured that Jehovah sees and feel your pain and he will comfort you during this difficult time.
