To the Family and Friends of Joel Albert McLean “ Joe-Jim”. Please accept my sympathy on your recent loss. Realistically, nothing will completely erase the pain you feel. However, be encouraged that God promises a time when “he will actually swallow up death forever.” (Isaiah 25:8) To remove death however, He must first eliminate its root cause, which is sin. God will do this through Jesus Christ, who “takes away the sin of the world.”—John 1:29. Then we will have the pleasure of seeing our dear loved ones once again because God has also promised to resurrect our lost ones.
(Act 24:15) “And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” If you would like to know more on this topic please feel free to contact me or see the Awake #3 2018 that shows how to cope with grief. This can be found on the website jw.org

To the family of Joel Albert Mc Lean I want to extend my condolences. I too have lost loved ones and I know how difficult it could be at this time. I will like to share what has helped me to cope. Understanding the hope for the dead has brought me great comfort because we all want to live and we all want to enjoy life with the ones we love so it is only natural that we would want to see our dead loved ones again . But do you think that's possible?
Well the bible at John 5:28,29 promises us that there will be a resurection. It says
" Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs WILL hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgement. Jehovah hates death and he views it as a enemy he has a longing to conquer that enemy , and undo death by means of a resurrection. 1Corinthians 15: 26 tells us that death will be brought to nothing . Isn't that something wonderful? No more death. I would also like to direct you to a very comforting websit jw.org please do take a little time to visit it.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your dear loved one. I know he must have made a valuable contribution to the lives of many especially those near to him.
If a man dies can he live again? The bible book of Job 14:14,15 tells us that God is yearning to bring back our loved one. You will have the grand prospect of reuniting with him. Isn't that wonderful? Through the pages of the bible God comforts us and gives us a hope for a bright future. So I encourage the family to read from it .Also to assist you with the grieving process is information found on our website www.jw.org . There is a tract titled What happens to our dead loved ones. Also a brochure When Someone We Love Dies. Please be assured of our love and concern.
